Greetings,

I just got my new Lacrosse 9009 and I have a few questions.

1 - The default charging mode is 200mah. Is it the optimal mode for charging batteries for life duration and higher charge accumulation in the battery?

2 - Is there a way to know how full a battery is like with those cheap battery testers?

Thank you

As for question #1 on optimal charge....well that depends on what your charging so probably need some more information. Although if you really want to know about stuff like that check out this thread put together by one of the forum members.

I'd call it a 'safe' charge current for cheap AAA cells that have a high internal resistance and would heat up at higher currents.

For AA cells you should choose something higher - I generally use 700mA unless I am in a big hurry and want higher. For AAA cells I generally use 500mA.
