I saw this product as a prototype last year and immediately signed up for their mailing list so I'd know when they came onto the market. It's an electronic version of the old pressure-sensitive erasable slate that used a rubbery grey surface with a clear plastic overlay to draw on.
It seems fairly low resolution for detailed work but I think it will be handy for quick sketches of floorplans and whatnot, so I snatched one up.
It's astonishingly thin. It's a passive liquid crystal writing surface with an electronic "erase" button. Not quite sure how the erase function works but it's very, very cool.
