yeah, that's about all that is, but at least you nuts over here would appreciate it. I was surprised to learn that the K2 TFFC is actually sitting on a bunch of gold balls and not actually mounted to the substrate with anything else. Plus it's neat to see the surface details of the dice

I think the PDF said it's not a K2 TFFC, just a regular K2.
 
I thought Thin-Film Flip-Chip meant that the chip is face-down, like in the K2 shown? or is all luxeon stuff FC and only some of it is TFFC?
 
As per the last page of the K2 report and the pictures, it's definitely a flip chip design, so I'd say that at least all the K2s are flip chip, but not all are thin-film.

Edit: Checking the Rebels, yep, they're flip-chip as well.
