Led upgrade for z2

Hello all, what a great forum. I have just bought my first SF Z2 with a STD 60 bulb. After searching through eBay I purchased a Cree r2 290 lms bulb from Hong Kong. Is this a wasted buy? False economy? What should I expect? Any recommendations much appreciated.
