LF bulbs which batteries?

Would like to crank up the lumens on my SF E2 series and understand that the LF bulbs are great. My question is; should I use protected or unprotected RCR's? Would like to order a set up from Lighthound....your suggestions please. :shrug:

use AWs protected RCR123 750mAH. They are pretty solid little cells that I have pretty high confidence in (I have tortured a pair for a long time now and they are still near new capacity).

For safety reasons, protected cells are the way to go.

AW's are my only protected experiences but they have done well for me. 14500, 17500, 18500, 18650
