Li-Ion cell protection?

My dog recently had surgery. She had to have the end of her tail amputated, and the Vet gave us some special tubular bandages to use on it. Included in the package were these funny little latex covers for the bandage, which the dog would not allow us to apply. I think I've found another use for them:

Place one on an already-protected AW 17670:

And just roll it down to cover the cell:

The "battery condom" idea isn't bad though. It wouldn't be good to short out spare LiIon cells held in pockets...
