Where can i buy a 3.6/3.7 5000mA (or more) D size li-on battery with high discharge current for a project with a SSC P7 led?

kaidomain is your best bet that I have found. They have them in sets of 2 shrink wrapped together with a charger for 40 bucks. the singles and just 2 batteries don't come with the charger and cost 20 bucks each. they have some that are 5000 mah tested ( the black wrapped ones) and some that ended up testing out around 4300mah, they were blue I think.

Hi Synergic,

These are extremely powerful and (usually) unprotected Li-Ion cells. They require very special consideration to be used safely. Please read all the relevant threads on CPF about their safe use. Do a thorough search.

Having said that: I have 5 unprotected D 5000mAH that have been in use in two (a 2D & a 3D) Maglight hotwires for about 26 months, without any hint of a problem. YMMV
