hi

as i know the life of a li-ion cell depends on when the battery was manufactured and not on its cycles, so how many years a li-ion cell is supposed to last?

Hello Crislight,

So far I have found that a Li-Ion cell can last 10 - 1200 cycles, depending on discharge loads, and in storage 7 - 10 years.

Hi

does anyone have a discharge curve for a Li-Ion battery, specifically a 18650 type of around 2200 mah.
Maybe I am just googling the wrong thing, but it is really easy to find the same for NiMh?

I guess I am really interested in where the voltage variation occours over the cells discharge, is is linear, or more likely a lazy S shape.

I am just trying to match drivers cells and leds to get the most run time without a sudden cut off.
