Light Stuck On

I have the Kaidomain, 5 mode, 1AA, SKU2436, and it wont turn off. It will still cycle through all modes and the switch feels OK. The tail switch reads open when the switch is half pushed. It reads short otherwise. Is this a good reading?

Did the light come to you acting that way? Maybe the switch doesnt lock in any more. It should read open after one click and short after the next. Maybe you can buy a replacement switch module at KD and put it in there.

I have had the light for several months and it worked fine until this week. It has been on my bike the whole time. It has not been rained on recently. I've thought about replacing the switch, but I don't see how it comes out. I could put it on a press and force it out but that would destroy it, but it sounds like its already bad. Is that the approved removal method?
