As announced, here is a little comparison of two lights,
McCulloch X990 and Lightforce Sl240.
For those of You not familiar with them, here some basic data:
X990
Bulb technology: automotive HID
Wattage: 35W
Power source: 12V, 4.5Ah Ni-MH (two included)
Wheigt: 2500g (with one battery)
Reflector diamater: 95mm
SL240
Bulb technology: Xenophot Halogen
Wattage: 100W
Power source: 3m cord with cigarette lighter plug
Wheigt: 800g
Reflector diamater: 240mm
The X990 is always shown on the left, SL240 on the right.
Beam pattern, distance 12m:
Wide focus:
(SL240 was set to X990´s widest focus to allow comparison)
Spot:
Here a picture with DragonHID on the left, only to show that it can´t play with the big toys.
The Following pictures show a excavator (?) at 300m, tightest focus
