Just goes to show you what lthium cells can really do. (mind you this was a significantly large lithium pack than most lights contain, except for some HID searchlights)

So? We know that Li chemistries can blow up. So can gas tanks. They still are used routinely.

(BTW. It's not a failure. It's an intentional ignition.)
