What is the longest lasting RCR123 in a single cell light?
I don't care if it is protected or not. Don't care if it is the 3.7 or 4.2 volt. I just want the longest runtime with say a Novatac, Fenix, etc.
I saw the 3.7 1000 Mah at Lighthound, and was wondering if these were any good.

thanks

lot of discussion and testing in that link about various RCR123s, but the graphs seem to have disappeared, hopefully hat will be temporary as there was some great info there.

label capacity is meaningless on all of these cells, they are all around 500-625mAH depending on various factors and how they are tested.

there is no such thing as a "4.2V" li-ion cell. That just happens to be the maximum charge voltage of a 3.7V cell.

The Fenix P1D and P2D are not really compatible with 3.7V cells.

Using an unprotected cell in a light that is intended to boost voltage from a 3.0V or lower source will severely over-discharge the cell long before you have a chance to notice, ruining the cell.
