I'm doing a driver board project for a customer and need to find a source for H8 plugs. While I've seen some available as part of a harness, it's too expensive buying them that way, and too labor intensive to start cutting the plug off, stripping the wires, etc. I want just the H8 plug with a pair of (hopefully) stripped and tinned leads at the end. Also, we need a price in the $1 area in large quantities. This seems like a common item of cars yet it's been next to impossible to find, at least for me.

Candlepower Inc lists sockets and plugs for various types of bulbs. None listed for H8, H9, H11, H13, etc., but they've ordered uand supplied unlisted types economically in the past, so maybe send them an e-mail. For info, the H8 uses an IEC type PGJ19 connector/socket.

No prob. Specifically, the H8 uses PGJ19-2, which is a keying variant in the PGJ19 family. In practice, many makers service H11 (PGJ19-1) and H8 (PGJ19-2) with just one socket. Theoretically they're not supposed to, but *shrug*
