Looking for Kydex or Concealex Scrap

Hey,

Looking for a small bit of Kydex (as small as 1x5 in.)

Going to try to make a ring holder to go on a necklace.

Thin and Black is preferred. Free would be nice,
Hoping some kind soul will just let me pay shipping,

But I can come up with a list of some lights, knifes and gear
if anyone is even interested.

try www.knifekits.com kydex is cheap, and then you can make holsters for everything you own!

any manufacturing plants near you for toys, sporting goods, or cookware? kydex is the copyright/product name, the material is Polyvinylchloride/Polyacrylic mix, or easier said as PVC/Acrylic mix. if you look for either PVC/Acrylic mix of Acrylic/PVC mix, that would be Kydex. An example of this would be looking on mcmaster.com (mamaster & carr). i seriously get dissapointed within parts of the community where individuals instead of educating what the actual material is and where it can be found will instead decide to keep everyone in the dark and profit from it. Anyway, the first few industries i listed often uses the materials in various products. You can likely go to a salvation army and cut up old football gear (except for the helmet) and it's highly likely to be kydex or a very near chemical composition.

Mcmaster is also the kind of place where if you call them (and yes, they do prefer the phone call to email) you can usually get small test samples of differant thickness and size for a few bucks, if all you need is a tiny bit, try that route. depening on where you live, mcmaster ships from NJ, if you are in the north east, standard shipping usually arrives UPS 1 business day.

if you can get by with a sample size, Mcmaster-Carr is indeed the place to go.
