Are there any AA or AAA lights with low battery indicators ? I'm concerned about running my Eneloops so low as to over discharge them .

The Liteflux lights all have both low battery warning (it will "blink" when it gets low), and overdischarge protection built into them. Several will work both for LiIon AND NiMH as well.

Bp044,

When the 2xAA battery case becomes available for the Ra Twisty, it will provide plenty of warning. The light will step down in brightness through a sequence of internal brightness levels and double-blink once a minute to remind you that you need to change the batteries. When the lowest internal level is reached, the light will blink continuously. No damage will be done to your batteries until you ignore this last warning. Note that this behavior is different from li-ion batteries, where no damage is permitted.

Huh? first I hear a rumor that HDS is coming out with an HDS clicky and now there a 2xAA battery case? You guys have been busy :twothumbs

So the new circuit is programmed to actually shut off when the li-ion has reached a low voltage cut off? Why isn't it like the old EDC where it will sacrifice the battery? That's a interesting change in paradigm since the old you said a life is worth more than a battery, considering the Ra-twisty is the light that'll get you home I'm surprised.

The low batt warning in my NDI occasionally drives me nuts. Whenever the battery isn't very charged, it sometimes happens that contact resistance momentarily lowers the voltage beyond the warning threshold, and the damn thing starts flashing. I'd be much happier without, I use protected 14500s anyway. Grumble grumble.
