I just placed my order for the E0-9 after seing the lumens reading at over 260 after warming up. I will be running it with two 18650's. I also place an order for the 14v xenon light that Deal Extreme sells for 3 18650 set-ups. And the IMR 500 lumen bulb.

What beamshots and comparrisons on these are there?????????

The EO-9 makes 272 peak lumens with 380 bulb lumens.
The 14V xenon from DX= ?
The P91 from Surefire= 90% certain it will make 200 lumens.
The IMR 500 lumen= My guess is 300 to 350 out the front.

The IMR-9 and P91 are similar in total output, the 200 lumen rating on the P91 does not apply on 18650s, and is even a conservative rating on CR123s, you'll be overdriving it. the IMR-9 wins in the beam shape department big time in my opinion. The EO-9 is noticeably dimmer than either of them but is a decent lamp overall. The 14V bulbs, IIRC, were actually intended for use with 4 3.7V RCR123s to light up to their potential, unless they changed something.

I received a 14V bulb recently and yesterday i did some measurements (applicable to my meter & luxbox)

14V Chinese Generic - 3xRCR123 - 1.04 - 556
14V Chinese Generic - 4xRCR123 - 1.21 - 1292 !!!!
14V Chinese Generic - 4xCR123 - 0.94 - 408

for reerence

G&P90 - 3xCR123 - 1.29 - 640 lux
G&P90 - 2x17500 - 1.30 - 671
HO-9 - 3xCR123 - 1.49 - 594
HO-9 - 2x17500 - 1.50 - 727

I got the 14v from deal extreme. It was a 9v labeled. It was incredibly bright and had a ton of spill. Too bad it wasn't what I ordered, but $3bucks isn't going to kill me.:sick2:

sure tehy did not mix items?

I got mine from KD....

BTW my lux masurements in MY lightbox are NOT linear....

Waking up an old thread again: I find the stock P90 to be pretty nice with 2x18500 in a bored 9P. Lumens Factory EO-9 will be a step up in brightness, and with extender and 2x18650 I will get some decent runtime, right?

I'm not sure I've never used a p90 but the eo9 is a nice bulb and throws really well for the reflector size. Doesn't output like a p91 on 2x18650 though. That's by far my favorite setup. Too bad it's so likely to poof. Eo9 is excellent and you won't be disappointed. Personally I'd recommend the ho9 though. Can't tell the difference and runtime is longer by about 15 min or so and from my experience lasts longer in bulb life

Ya in my experience that's not the case. The 3400 mah Panasonicare great cells for regulated circuits. They high capacity comes from them still being at 50% charge at 3.6v where other li-ion are dead. So with a regulated circuit they kkeep powering an led for a long time. For incans when the cell is at that voltage it doesn't matter how much capacity is left the bulb is still dull. I've found with two of those cells and the eo-9 you get around an hour or less till the output is lowered significantlyand getting very yellow instead of white and iit's time for a change

Assuming you picked right lamp assembly for pair of li-ion cells:
Pair of healthy protected 18650 should give you about 1.5 hour run time with white beam.
What you are saying is sign of defective cells or too high resistance is system.
I suggest using good brand
protected cells such as "AW" or "Redilast" then check resistance of switch.
Again, healthy cells will shut down the circuit after they are depleted therefore you won't see yellowish light.

It was with brand new Aw cells I bought from LF. Just telling my experience. As I said those cells for incans are no better than the Aw 2600mah in my experience. As far as the host I'm not sure what results the switch is. Factory solarforce l2p switch. With same cell and eo-4 about 45 min of runtime before bulb starts dimming significantly and yellows yet still has tons of life left for a regulated led. I know you're not the guy to argue with when it comes to incans but this has been my experience which is high is supported by Hilton his test of these cells. Now I'm not claiming to be a know it all so if I'm wrong oh well:D I just looked at that thread and it had runtime of 60 min.
