Anybody know if Luminox watches available in common brick and mortar stores? I know Sharper Image used to carry some but I don't see any on their web pages anymore. I know that your regular Target or Kohl's won't carry them but what about say Filene's?

Can't name names right now but I've seen them in all types of stores.

I would try jewlery stores that have a good selection of watches.

I live at the end of the world I went everywhere tonight trying to find a place that sold Luminox watches. Anyone know of a reliable store on line that stocks their full line.

Cabela's Outfitters stocks a few, but at high prices. Good place to get a feel for them though.

Edit: Just realized that you live in Massachusetts, the closest Cabela's is in West Virginia!

I've also seen a dealer at a mall before, just keep your eye out.

I could not find them locally, so I bought from Cabela's.

There are two concerns with these watches:

1. Luminox is said to refuse to work on watches that were not purchased from "authorized dealers", not even for a fee. Cabela's will send you proof of purchase if you request it.

2. Since the half life of the Tritium is 12 years, you don't want one that has been siting at a dealer for six years. So choose a retailer that does volume sales.

Even if they are not in the website some Sharper Image stores have Luminoxes. My wife bought me one from SI some months ago and it wasn't listed in the website. They just had the watch somewhere in a display.

I had the same problem a couple of months ago. Sharper Image had none anymore. Sporting goods stores didn't carry them. I finally found a local "Army/Navy Surplus" store that had a number of models, one of which was the the 3900 (blue face) that I wanted. I like it very much.

I've seen Luminox watches in the knife shops at malls. But it's usually just the SEAL style models.

I bought mine at Saltzmans Watches and More. 1024 reservior Ave Cranston RI 401-946-0930. The tritium fell out of the second hand they fixed it for free 2 yrs old, my fault I dropped it face down on concrete. Very good people to deal with recommend them. Hope this helps

I've seen them at the small kiosk watch stores in the shopping malls around DC. It is good to check them out in person. They didn't fit my skinny wrists and I think they are uglier in person, but just my opinion.

Maybe I'll take a drive up there tomorrow. I have a feeling you can forget about any discount from them, though. Today I went to the local mall near work. Filene's, Sears, JC Penny, nor any of the littler chain jewelry stores carried them.

Kittery Trading Post in Kittery, Maine has them up in the camping department

KTP's right off Route 1, very easy to get to :)

Yeah I saw that too. How nice of them (sarcasm intended) NOT to make the list sortable or have an ability to do a zip code search. Thanks for posting the link though in case I didn't see it.

Here's a list of Luminox Retailers from their website.

This is where I purchased mine a couple of years ago. They had great customer service.
