For those of you looking at this thread, you should go ahead and buy the 2C PVC tube FM sells. I was making my own from scratch this weekend, and it takes me way too long to make on my lathe. These 2C PVC tubes are a true bargain at $5

What is the inside diameter of the deep tail cap at it's narrowest point?
I was wondering if a 23.0 mm diameter Sub C cell would partially slide in.

Using pair of needle nose pliers, twist the spring clockwise and pull it off.
To reinstall, twist it same direction (clockwise) and push in.
