What does two cpf mOnkys do when they are meet?

YCLO made a few adjustable towers while I was overseas.
When I got back I was presented by these...

This time round he challenged me to new tasks. To fit Rebels into even smaller(than E-Series) opening of the M3. So what do I do?

mOnkys pull old tricks...:ohgeez:

The Rebel100 has to be trimmed to even closer to the die. Meaning there is less space to attach the wires. :shakehead THANKS ALOT YCLO!

So after mOnkying around with the thermal epoxy(stinks), I fondled:naughty: with the adjustable tower, pushing it, in and out :naughty: to try find a really nice hotspot :naughty: then I philip screw it in hard, so it can't slip but it got very hot and sweaty so I let it rest I don't want to get into trouble  :naughty::naughty::naughty::devil::devil::devil:

M3 Rebel 100 @ 800mA vs E-MT F1 + RCR123
Yes that's right E-MT F1 is pretty weak here, camera on auto, I'll take more meaningful pictures soon. M3 Rebel should look like above ^^^.

And the result is positive! Very intense hotspot and good amount of spill, like a G2Z drop in basically. I expect it to throw further than a P60 LED style drop-in. But I can't use it in my M3 yet... this leaves me high and dry. Don't worry I know the beamshots sucks, I'll take more pictures but I need to :sleepy: for now.

Stay tune post #2 for more mOnky tricks...

Exciting stuff!

I once asked about the possibility of having a tower-module for the M3 but was told that would be impossible. But the Rebel seems to have changed this!

Is thermal management going to be an issue?

Keep up the good work!

Another CPF monkey interested:popcorn: Nice work

What Li-ion battery configurations would be acceptable?
2 x 17500?
3 x rcr123?
1 x 18650 (with Leef tube)?

Yclo and Koala, this is a nice idea. I had done a one-off M6 tower some time back by drilling and tapping the collar of the M6 reflector itself, then mounting a custom-fited brass pedestal I could focus as desired then lock into place... the fact that you're getting this sort of thing into removable tower modules takes it to the next level. Very nice, gentlemen!

I would be interested in one if you decide to make some more!

Good work!

After seeing your EMT's I wondered how long before you tried one for the M3 bezel. I've built a couple P4 KT1/2/4 tower modules before, and I've been waiting for something for the M3 head. Keep up the good work:thumbsup: and I'll be looking for the sales thread. I'm really interested in the heatsinking performance..... that's a tiny tower:popcorn:
