I look forward to installing this mod into my ROPs. Is the retaining ring removed? If so , is the switch now secured in place by the ground screw?

littlejohnle, MagDTower is still in my mind only.

EvilPaul2112, Yes, 100% correct, the switch is secured in place by the ground screw.
So, screw it tight. It will be fine. In ROP, you will feel the huge different between stock light of heat. Let the heat go, save the internal plastic parts from melting.
