Maglite 2 D-Cell LED Flashlight -

How long does this light run???? And what are the lumins or candle powers?

I need a tourch that will run on C or D cells that will last for 3 or more.

I will never buy any thing from china.

According to their website, a 2D puts out 36 lumens and will run for 9-10 hours.

Like you, I really enjoy the C and D cell batteries, but the best lights just don't use them. You need to try some 'China' lights. They are very impressive and you will love them.

You could at least use the 2D Mag LED. Their site doesn't list runtime or lumens.

Led version either the lux magled version or rebel version both should last 24hrs

Better stick with incan light, those circuit board components are probably from China.

There is a very lengthy thread ( over 400 posts ) on the new Rebel LED Mags that you should check out. The new ones are very bright and last a long time.

Maglite incan 2D? Probably not too much more performance then otehr 2D lights, so my guess is 20 lumen out the front and 1000 lux at 1m. Check here for Maglite drop-ins and mods.

Just because a light is made in China doesn't mean that it is crap that will break if you look at it and made by wage slaves. Infact, many of the higher end brands are from China (Fenix and Jetbeam as examples).
