I was at my local Mills Fleet Farm earlier today and the red Maglite 4D Flashlight is $16.95. http://www.fleetfarm.com/detail/maglite-4d-flashlight/0000000030388 That got me to thinking about what my choices are for LED conversion on these and at what price. Can anybody here break it down by cost and number of lumens for this particular light?
For example:
-TerraLux MiniStar5 6EX LED 140 lumen output $23.99
-Malkoff XM-L 3-4D MagLite 700 lumen output $69.00
Is there something that is a good choice for say a bit more lumens than the TerraLux MiniStar5 6EX LED that isn't quite as expensive as the $69.00 asking price of the Malkoff?
