Newbie here. Where can I get a high med. low switch for my maglite? Drop in but not in the tail cap.
It is a 5 cell C type "patented made in usa" (if that makes a difference) There is no c in front of the serial #.
I will be using a Terralux TLE-6ex.

This might work, but...

  • How the TerraLux driver behaves with a PWM driver infront of it is anyone's guess. Might be fine, might be weird.
  • With five cells, you'll be very close to the low end of the recommended input voltage for the AW driver.

I don't know of any switch that will work for sure.

I have seen mods where the switch is modified with a driver that has different modes, but the LED is powered through the driver and not a drop-in.

Whoops...

  • And you'd have to figure out a bi-pin -> PR socket adapter.
