Just wondering if anybody else noticed this - M60s are back up to $55 from $49

Wonder if all is going OK with the production... Or demand is just that great. Wouldn't be surprised if its the latter.

Probably demand...Or for all we know Gene may have to offset any price changes from his parts sources. Either way, still a great price for the quality he puts into each unit.

I noticed this. I looked at buying the M60 one night, and then decided to put it off until the next day :banghead:. At which point I lost a tasty sandwich :sigh:.

Side note, I now have said M60. Does anyone else have it where the corona of the hotspot is lopsided? It's fine in use, and I might just be beam spoiled by my Surefire and Novatac beams, but I'm wondering if people usually get nice round beams.

I have noticed this in the last M60L, two M60WLs and M30 which I have purchased... Its almost like a crescent moon shape right? I have meant to email Gene but have been too lazy. I still love em all :)

My older Malkoffs are a perfectly defined hotspot circle - they are gorgeous...

My M30W is slightly off centered and my M60LW (which I bought second) is perfectly centered. I can deal with the off centered emitter in the M30, but I wouldn't mind having it perfectly centered like the M60 as I think it helps with the throw.

Don't forget, coupon code CPF gets a 10% discount. Its strange, some of them do not have a perfectly round hotspot even though the lens is perfectly lined up. The lens holder snaps over the LED so its kind of a goof proof assembly. Investigation has lead me to believe its due to inconcistencies in the LED's themselves. Kind of a "Cree Lottery".

Thanks, Gene

Ahh, yes, like the small beam artifact you and I discussed. If only the LED's themselves were up to Malkoff standards.

The $55 price being asked for a Malkoff is actually tremendous value when you consider the quality, performance and durability of the product. When you also factor in Gene's aftercare it is IMHO a very reasonable price to pay.

In life I've learnt that you get what you pay for and if you want quality you will pay for it! A Malkoff is, just that, a quality product.:twothumbs

From what I've read, $55 is a more than fair price. Unfortunately for me, with $30 shipping to the UK + customs, I'd be looking at around $110. :sigh:

I think handling is £8 so you have a good point!

Still, I'm not saying it isn't worth it. I can justify it by believing it's the best I can get and there's no way to get it cheaper. When I have some spare pennies again an M60 is still on my list, and I'm confident once I have it I won't regret it, even if it comes to $100.

If you overseas guys check the CPFM you may find one for less. Some members do ship overseas.

I did, esp. since I ordered my first one on Saturday. I also snagged a drop in for my Mag 3D. I couldn't bear to have it sitting idly by!

Just to be clear:

I hope I didn't give the impression that $55 was too much to pay in my original post. It was not meant to be a gripe, a complaint or anything negative. I was just curious at the re-increase in price... :D

Honestly, (I hope Gene isn't reading ;)) I would pay $65+ in a heartbeat for these guys - I can't imagine not having them, and, out of all my lights, the Malkoffs make up 75% of my usage.

For me, flashahoic and Malkoff go hand in hand.
