There are other options for e-series 18650 bodies without a reducer, but that would mean buying from a company other than Malkoff.

Yes, it was on high the whole time. I actually got aggravated, because I was running it and an E2XT at the same time trying to kill some partially used cells.

To my eyes there was no drop even past 30 or 40 minutes on used cells. At an hour I decided to cycle the modes. High was still higher than medium but not by much. At 1 hour 30 minutes she was down to low double digit lumens maybe 20 or so. I will run this test again with fresh cells when I have 2 hours to waste. I will take beamshots off the wall every 15 minutes.

I like the VME head on a 18650 e-series body. The VME + MDC 18650 kind of looks like a Mini Mag that went to the gym.

The specs look about the same as the MDC 16650 500 lumen with XP-L. Do you think the only difference is the emitter?

Just got the crenelated mdx head in today and now I have two complete malkoff's, each with a hi/low ring.

I got the md1 body from fivemega today and now can use the KP 1200 mah 18350's that are too long for the md2. This is a neat little setup, and the thyrm pocket clip works out perfect.

Just one mdx head away from having three complete malkoff's, but that can wait for now.

Look up md1 in the search bar and it will take you to a sale thread by fivemega, you can buy the body from him. He also has 18500 bodies.

What drop in are you using in this? I like that setup. I recently got the 1.5 and really like it. Thinking of getting the 1.0 to run an M61WL on.

Currently the m61t is installed. The M61WL is very well suited to this setup and will probably be the one I use the most in the md1. The WL runs 2+ hours on a 16340 so it'll be even better with an 18350, plus the md1 has the hi/low ring that you can't get with the VME head on an e series.

Right now I have my M61WL on the MD1.5. I was contemplating putting that on an MD1 and getting an M91BW to go on the MD1.5.

Yes they are. That is what I am using in my MD3 with a M91BW (Keeppower 2300 mah 18500's). They do well. I have been using a KP 2000mah 18500 in the MD 1.5.
