Mantis Knives

Hey I did a search and didnt really come up with anything. Has anyone heard of Mantis Knives? They have some very "tacticool" knives and a few that you might find around Area 51 but they also have a few that look like they have potential to be a halfway decent blade. Just wondering, I like the look of the Chaos line and the MT-7 folder... Anybody own one or have handled one of these things?

Word is they are pretty decent but nothing special. They are especially hated over on the knife forums for their unusual guerilla marketing tactics, but the actual knives aren't bad. The steels they are advertised to have has been disputed, though.

The September 08 issue of Blade magazine has a "Factory Focus" article on Mantis knifes. Very informative and positive. They certainly are radical.

I played with some at blade show they didn't feel like quality and they had some
rough machining issues on the edges and the steel wasn't very good

Hmm if I can find a few extra bucks I may buy one but I think that one will be on the back burner for now.
