i have a ostar from dudu, is a MaxFlex Driver the one to use the forward voltage is 20.6 and if so were could i buy one? or another type maybe?
Can't find them at the sandwich shoppe or any one got a spare they might like to sell me
Do you have to open up a reflector to the size of the star or can it be like smaller say the hole to the dome of the led or is it about the focusing to get the beam right any help would be great:thumbsup: happy xmas DocD
PS is there a ostar heat sink?

i always used a shark driver to get my 22volt for the 6 die ostar. i modified the feedback resistor so i get 1.2 amps to the led. you can buy the shark at the sandwiche shoppe. you can regulate the brightness via a pot or the optional remora bord.

A maxflex is fine, so is a shark. It depends on your design requirements eg do you require a dimming facility and how will you implement it

As for the reflector...Fraen make a purpose built reflector in a narrow or medium beam

the fraen reflector aren´t very good. i testet them but they have all too much side spill. now i use a aspherical lens from kaidomain.

Mash, that's very interesting. How is the beam with the aspherical ?

i make some beamshots later when it is dark. you can focus it to see the die or make a big spot like the single cree dropin from kaidomain.
