Pushing the clock pretty hard all round at the moment, have a ton of fun but plan to take a couple of days chill time during Christmas.
Having watched your self-imposed work schedule through these pages and the regularity with which you subject yourself to ever more projects, I would say that pushing the clock is your only mode!

lol :D

Actually I have 3modes

Sleep mode
Push the clock mode
Push the clock so fast it warps time mode

I also have over-discharge protection where the power just dies until the charge is at least back to a trickle.

Life was so simple when TV stations turned off at 11pm,
communication was a postal speed
headphones were a thing pilots used (so no late night music)
and the dual serenity and satisfaction of a good book was so relaxing it was worth bottling.

Some years ago, I read the snippet on what was meant to be an inspirational poster somewhere
that I'm guessing some may have also read, as follows:

"Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up,
it knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.

It doesn't matter whether you're the lion or a gazelle,
when the sun comes up, you'd better be running."

I do switch off every now and then, but most days I'm running

What will the approximate length of this torch be?

What will be the Max lumen output with 14500 cells?

Can it run on max output for the duration of the battery charge[14500] without stepping down or harming the torch?

Can you estimate the approximate run time on max?

Thank you,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,get some sleep "op" !!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Hi Capolini,

Thanks for the questions.

Keeping it very approximate...and all pending final testing

Length: somewhere between 100mm ~ 150mm depending on how its configured
Max Output: Bright (still classified)
Run time on max: depending on configs, battery chemistry, somewhere between 10m~30m
Time limit for max: In the default config, no time limit expected.

Hope that's slightly helpful

Thanks, yes it helped.

As far as the MAX output goes, is that going to be "Declassified" when the finished product is available?

You must be a "Secret Agent"!! ;) The "GUY With No Name" has a secret Five[5] letter code at the end of his posts!!

Hi Capolini,

MAX output will most likely be Declassified without the need for the usual 50yr wait

The 5 letter code is very hard to crack with out advanced software but rumour has it that a whisky can be as effective as the most powefrul brute force attack at deciphering it.

All I can say is that I think some people are really going to love these when they hit their mailboxes, assuming the mailbox survives!

Hi Alan,
You know what he means, I think, hopefully :D

Some good news....
MBI 14500 Nukes are underway :twothumbs:

No point having an underpowered Zeus!!
Neither Zeus or Thor would approve of that.

They'll be here in time for Zeus.

All 3 bits of the circuitry are not too far away now.
I've been making so many circuits the last 6 weeks the rapid prototype lab loves me now.
Its been a pace of roughly 1 a week (new things...)

ok, now its off to the HF thread...:party:

So when are you going tell us about those titanium Zues's you are releasing?

Hi gunga,

I want to be 100% certain these are GTG when I tell you.
The most important circuit/PCB is due about a week or so from now.
Once I've tested it, if it doesn't need any changes It's going to be a part of the next subscriber update that I plan to send out sometime between now and Jan 1 though I'll probably be to excited to wait till then.
