Just had an idea to built me a EDC-flooder. As I really like the form of the EX10. I thought why don't mod a EX10 with a Cree MC-E. My idea was to leave the driver board of the EX10 and just change out the Q5 emitter with a MC-E where the dies are connected in parallel. I know that the heatsinking of the EX10 is not adequate for the MC-E but this wont be a problem as I don't want to run it long on high. Is this possible? Can I use the stock driver board of the EX10?
What is the current of the EX10 on high?
Thanks
