So i got my first Milkymod and while it is one of the low end Milky's Creations, I love this thing.
I like how the design serendipitously has a momentary on tailcap. It is nice that the inherent design and make of the tailcap makes for tail standing and provides a natural shroud to prevent accidental activation.
However Im not a huge fan of shrouded tailcaps. Especially one so deep. After looking at the tailcap design, I figured a simple solution. . . Make an extension that will transfer the pressure of my thumb directly to the metal washer.
Here is what the tailcap of the milky candle looks like . . .
After looking around my workplace I found these little things. They are vintage spacers from old Movie reels.
The off white was my first one. But I found the red ones to fit better.
Here is my little spacer as a tailswitch extender.
The only issue is that the spacer sticks out a little and I lose the tail standing ability. If I bother to shave it down I could probably regain tail standing but Im lazy.
I also used the rubber shroud from a spare SF tailcap. It fits perfectly and makes for a more official tailcap look and feel.
