McClikie & Z57

Will a McClickie screw into a a Z57 & work fine?

I think the Z-57 is the SF Clickie? If yes, then no. The McClickie should work fine in the old LOTC after you gut it of all but the boot. Was that the Z52?!? :thinking: :shrug:

It will work if you remove everything from the Z57 shell and run an 11/16-20 tap through the shell to remove the unthreaded ring in the middle. (A little dremel/reamer work may be required first) Put the boot and retaining ring back in place and thread the McClicky up from the bottom.

Thanks fellas. Exactly what I needed to know. I have a Z57 that has broken internals & was wondering if it was possible. I think I will go the McClickie route with it.

If you have the tap, it's worth doing. The McClicky is a considerable improvement over the stock clicky in terms of "feel", and once the mod is done it's easy to replace the McClicky or the boot if either goes bad
