I was a mechanic fulltime and tried several flashlights over the years. My goto light was a cree'd surefire g2 on rcr123's. I had a kaidomain 11 dollar dropin in mine and it was just bright enough to work in a poorly lit shop. It's the right size to fit in a shirt (uniform) pocket, plenty grippy with grimey hands too. I dropped it hundreds of times and it never got hurt or scratched up. It was yellow, so it got plenty dirty, but I could always find it on the workbench amongst all the tools. Plus a rag with some brake parts cleaner made her shine like brand new. You can't hardly hurt a g2. Now that I have malkoff dropins in my g2's, I wish I'd have had them back then. It adds to the cost of the light, but it's night and day for quality and quantity of light. I found streamlight, maglite and other metal flashlights to be too slick to use every day. Another 2 cents, that makes 4 :twothumbs
