Hello everyone. I found a pink Maglite 1AAA flashlight in pink for my wife. The light is very dim @ 1 lumen. What is out there to use for modding the light for a beginner? Are there dropins and batteries for it that make it brighter or have modes?

Using the search terms "Minimag solitaire upgrades" yields these threads.
This is a very simple search and I'd encourage finding information this way.

The gist of it is that, there are LED upgrades for this light, but they really aren't worth the time, effort, and cost, when compared to as-built AAA LED lights.

But again, there are already a number of threads on this exact topic.

sorry about that, I did not know what they were called and yeah it is not worth the money for a mod.

There are a few led mods you could do or just buy one already done.

There is the famous put an led's pins inside the bi pin holes as a direct pluging and use a rechargeable lithium-ion battery3.0v-4.2v.

Then here is a link to a fairly bright module that directly plugs in and uses the original light and aaa alkaline battery. At 13.5 lumens its sure to be a awesome lumen/dollar mod for the solitaire.

Hope this helps,

Easiest thing to do is get a TerraLux TLE-20 LED conversion kit. It works with both AA and AAA Mini-mags. But I think it works best with the AAA model. Lighthound sells the kit for $8.
