I just figured since we CPF'ers are all over the world, this might be a good place to put this out there . . .

Child from U.K. kidnapped a few weeks ago from her hotel room on family vacation in Portugal . . . .

For some reason, this really got my attention. She's about as old as my daughter and if it were my kid, I'd want to get the word out.

Sween, we can't accommodate your wishes to use CPF as a resource for paging, posting missing person notices, amber alerts, forms of real-time search and rescue, or real-time campaigning for charitable contributions. A precedent has been set, if you wish to search for examples, but basically it's been expressly stated.

While yours and other concerns are surely very worthwhile, they can consume or overwhelm the purpose of our board. It can become necessary for the board to determine priorities regarding all of these. We'd rather discuss flashlights in our regular forums and not quite so heavy topics in the off-topic forum.

Please make use of other resources on the net for pursuing this important matter.
