AW's soon to be released soft starter has got me thinking.

I was planning to buy the Big Leef system to run a MN21 off of 2 C liIon cells. I already have most of the parts(except the host from leef). I have the C cells, the KT4 head, and the MN21 bulbs( I have a M3T and a M6). The cost of a 2 cell Big leef system(body, tail cap, and neck) is around $180.
Going with AW's softstarter would be cheaper. $70 for the softstarter, $20 for a 2c maglite, $10 for the phillips 5761 bulbs, $20ish for a borofloat and metal reflector. Lets say its about $50 cheaper.
One thing thats making me lean towards the big leef system is the head. I have a Mag85 and don't like the beam pattern compared to my M6. I wish I could get my hands on some 3 inch FM heads but its going to be awhile before he builds more.
Which would you guys choose?
