Looks like the only way to up these is to use the Ostars. You NEED:naughty: to do a 3 minimum Ostar.

Great workmanship Dennis! :twothumbs
I can't wait to get that heatsink to build my own!

I want one :D

Would it be possible to run this with 3x18650 Serial?

Regards,
Benny

Benny,

It will run fine on 3 X 18650, but would not fully dim. The lowest setting would be more like a med. Dialing down the pot from hi, the light will dim to a certain point, then further dialing down will not dim any more. It will go into direct drive. As the cells deplete and their voltage drops, the light will dim more. The lowest level would be an indication of the state of discharge in a sense.

You could run it on 2 X 18650, with a dummy, and dim to zero output.

Running on 2 X 18650, runtime should be at least 1 hr, on 3 cells about 1 1/2 hr.
