Since the LED is mounted to the base of the head, how easy is this to accomplish? Will the reflector still work? Who has done this before?

I'm very interested to hear from anyone who has done this mod. Would a 27-Seoul reflector from the shoppe be necessary and would you still need a shim with it ?

This is the one light that I really want to change the old green UX1K to a SSC-U2SW0H. I am reluctant to try it myself as I've messed up enough converters and lights to know my limits. Besides a 27LT with a UX1K that works is better than a 27LT paperweight. :duh2:

Here is the issue I see, the emitter has to be accessed from the head.

The emitter in the pic is a LuxV, which implies the driver is a boost driver and will need to be changed, too, if you wanna switch to a SSC P4 LED.

Otherwise ... I have no idea how to do it, of course :D
