Modding my P3D

Hey everybody,

I hoped FENIX would build their 18650-light as a big P3D (watch here: http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=192373&page=5 ). But OK, now it's a TK11, that does not fullfill my thoughts!

Now I am ready to think about tinker (?) at my existing P3D by using this two elements:

1. tactical 2x123 Body for Fenix P3D

2. tactical switch module & Black Boot Kit

Is there anybody who uses either one or even both of these products?
I have some questions about them:

on the tactical body:
1. Is there a new tailcap with the tactical body or do I have to use my "old" one?
2. Does the tactical body fit into the "old" holster of my P3D?
3. If the tactical body has a new tailcap, can I fix the lanyard on it?
on the tactical switch:
4. Can I use all the functions of my P3D (Generalmode: low-med-high Turbomode: turbo-strobe)?
5. How does it change between the modes, compared to my "old" switch?
6. Do I have a momentary on - function with this tailcap?

P.S.: Still hoping for a fat P3D body with P3D UI, faster strobe @ 13hz, momentary on and ability to use 18650 rechargeables - maybe calling it the R-Series! - Stephan

Sorry no plans for a 18650 p3d right now.

1. You have to use your old tailcap - you just swap the guts out
2. The tactical body doesn't fit because of the flange/grip ring
3. no new tailcap.
4. yes.
5. mode changing is a little different. A full click is not needed to change modes when you're lightly pressing. But once the light is latched on, you'll
need to click it off and back one to switch modes.
6. There is momentary on, but if you turn it off and back on within .5 seconds it may change modes!
