Modifying with SSC's

Sorry if this has allready been adressed, but how do you modify luxeon lights with a SSC led? Do you just solder the new one in? Also which SSC led is the best?

(P.S. I am trying to modify a Petzl myo XP any other tips?)

Do a search for Myo Mod and see how to do the mod. Swapping emitters can be easy or hard, it depends mostly on the unit you intend to modify. Some are just a simple swap while some you need to do more to access the LED..

Just take note of the fact that the heatsink-slug is connected to the +terminal of the SSC-emitter !!

The P4 SSC U bin is the most efficient Seoul right now. The Seoul usually need to be raised .03 inch to be focused correctly. The sandwichshoppe sells .03 inch copper discs for this purpose. Here
