Motorcycle license plate led?

I have a friend with a motorcycle and he would like to use an led for the illumination of his license plate.
Of course the bike is a 12 volt system, and I just need to know what led would be appropriate, and how I should wire it.

led bulbs off ebay that's specific for automobile applications will work on motorcycles too, both are 12volts. Just find out the type of bulb the license plate on the motorcyle uses (should be a 3 digit number) and run it through the search on this site: www.v-leds.com OR http://stores.ebay.com/warden-jp2002

they are fairly cheap and bright enough for plates. I personally use the 6led hyper whites.
