MR16 halogen bulb in a Maglite

After the second driver of one of my P7 Maglite mods didn't work I want to try a incandescent mod for my 2D Maglite. I have some modding knowledge but this would be my first real incandescent flashlight. So I need some help from you :huh:. I'm searching a mod with about 1000-1500lumen. And I don't want to change out the bulb every few weeks (I heard that the ROP mod bulbs don't last very long). Is there a mod like this with good runtime (about an hour)? I don't know if this is possible because I really don't have any experience with incandescent flashlights.

I found out that this MR16 halogen bulb fits perfectly in the Maglite D-version and it's widely available. You only need a bi-pin holder. I can't find anything here about the MR16 bulb. Did somebody try this before?
In my opinion it's worth a try. If I can get a bi-pin holder for may Maglite I'll try it.

Thanks but I'll take this one because I had to cut down the switch module anyways for the P7 mod.
