What LED light is a must have for a flashaholic, not something too expensive.
Something below $50.00.

Fenix E01 Great keychain light ultra reliable just not great if you need bright light but excellent for long runetimes and emergancy use for lighting a room up for 10-20 hours. Buy two for powercuts ( 1 in the room your using and the other one to carry to get to bathroom or use in kitchen ect.

Pretty much any AAA key chain light of decent quality. Maratac, Fenix LD01, Quark Preon, Fenix E01, etc.

At $49, a Zebralight H50 is a truly top-notch headlamp with the most floody beam you'll ever see. . . . I can't think of anything else that is the best in it's class for under $50

If you don't have a 6P or 6P clone, try a Solarforce L2 and pick your choice of drop-in

To give you guys an Idea, Here's what I currently have:

I also have 2 flashlight diffusers and some headlamps and flashlight headstrap.:grin2:

I think a good keychain light is a must have either AAA or cr123 if thats not too big for you.

I think the romisen rc-29 or rc-c6 is also a must have you should own a light with a good aspheric.

Also you should probably own at least one neutral or warm tinted light.

If you want to kill two birds with one stone, you could get a quark mini in neutral from 47's, or a WW RC29/C6 from shiningbeam.

Also an LED lantern and headlamp are great things to have.

Thats easy...

Fenix LD01 on your keychain :twothumbs

I would honestly spend the extra $9 and go with the Zebralight SC30 or SC30w. These half to be the coolest little lights available.

I have from my own experience found that

1) Form factor,

2) battery type,

3) run time and

4) light quality

are the most important criteria to me.

As a side note I no longer purchase 1x123 lights, it must be 2x123 as I use 17670; for one battery lights I use 1xAA. I don't use rechargeable 1x123 as is against point 3
Light quality comes with experience of different lights, I pretty much narrowed down which brands I purchase, regardless what other xyz brand is coming out with or what features they have. Form factor is something personal that also comes with experience, Underwater Kinetics LED 4C side by side is a great form factor for me. Run time - there is a company that knows how to do that best. Last my favorite lights are 18650

I've found the streamlight polytac LED to be an excellent flashlight for under $50

I really have to say the d10 is a "right of passage" light for a lot of Flashaholics. You can find them around for $45 or so. Keep checking the Marketplace. Nice little light by the way.....glad I got one.

My choice is the Fenix P1D CE Q5. It's small enough to forget about in your pocket, but really bright and versatile when needed. 1x123 primary cell provides plenty of reserve power for low light illumination, and for turbo mode. Light has a reliable signal capability; is waterproof; and the twist switch won't accidently turn on in your pocket. What's not to like?
