I have both, and it's clear that the Ion started the concept that later became the Aeon. Take a look at the photo below:Is the Aeon an updated version of the Ion?
is the switch interface like the Ion? twist for low, twist all the way for high?
External aesthetics are similar to that of the CR2 Ion, but the concept behind the light is entirely derived from the Nautilus; that is, a small pocket light that produces a good, well-rounded beam useful for illuminating things at a distance, while providing a long runtime with high brightness – the electronic and mechanical aspects are all a Nautilus in miniaturized form. I'm pleased with the results.
Quite possibly the best EDC on the market if you want something smaller than the Novatac, Ra, PD, E1L type of lights.
Simply fantastic and always with me.
I've EDC'd the McLuxIII-PD before....I hope this ΛӘΘИ might be able to perform the same duty only hanging on my neck and nesting in a tucked shirt, where losing the light becomes nearly impossible. I almost lost the McLux once, haven't used clip on EDCs since then, either pocket carry or via holster:shrug:
I bought one from lighthound, hardcoat black...lets see what it looks like:thumbsup:
There is no other light that even comes close to matching the Aeon as a keychain light, IMO.
Not quite as robust, shorter run-time.<cough> Draco? <cough>
hmm, What lanyard suits for 24/7 carrying?
and btw, wo0t! my Black HA came in
