My 1st SAK, Vic Classic (Black)

I had a noname Classic before that just died after about 4 yrs. Blade went dull, spring in scissors broke at the hinge and the file was worn bad. Plus one of the hinges suddenly seized

So I was looking at the SAKs. There's at least 3 models I'd love to have, Cybertool Lite, Midnite Manager, something in Alox, or a Voyager.

But all I currently need was a replacement for the old one, so I grabbed a Classic in black. It's slightly smaller & lighter than my old one, and I love the thing already.

For the bottom of the Victorinox line I'm impressed with the workmanship of it. Very clean, smooth operation. The tweezers are a bit on the stubby side, yet very functional. The toothpick comes in handy more often than I imagined too.

And I know some of you are thinking, "If he's this happy now, wait till he gets a (insert model here)!"

For now my needs are met, but hey ppl/life changes all the time

return the old one to the factory. ask them to refurbish it.

well im sure the factory is in china somewhere but they won't admit to makign it, lol...Congrats on your 1'st SAK!!!!! The classic is a great keychain knife, I have them all over the place...

Congrats! Be careful though, they can be very addictive.

The biggest problem (besides the fact that I already tossed it) is that the scales are a cheap ivory plastic with 3 black wolves on it and the scales are metal edged in a cheap gold like finish. No resemblance to the real one.

I find I'm edc'ing the Classic all the time now whereas, the old one just sat on my desk for when I needed it.

Hmmm gotta make a birthday list though it's not till hallow'een (seriously )

(Sighs) Yup I know, too many choices and it's not just a matter of buy both now. It's become SAKemon, gotta grab em all

BTW how are the white LEDs in the SAKs, I have another nonamer (Xmas gifts these things) that has a very ringy (square of all things) red LED in it.
When that kicks off I'm gonna grab a Voyager Lite or something.

Oh and an Alox Farmer and and and (points erratically like a caffeinated child)......................lol
