I took out the battery to change it and I noted the tube came out with the battery...except for the thumb push button end:mecry:. Thats right, from the o ring down the tube broke off from the thumb pusher end:shakehead. AHHHHHH:faint:. The D10 is out of stock and cant be backordered. I love this flashlight. What to do:thinking:?!?!

Put a WTB up for one of the D10 tubes with trit slot, or perhaps someone who bought one with a trit slot will be willing to sell the one they replaced.

YOU da man....excellent idea. How do I do that?

take pictures of the broken part and contact Nitecore directly. They have fixed my EX10 with no issues at all.

If you can't get a replacement sleeve, there is hope for a new one. Matt from BatteryJunction, the new official US dealer, will have a new Tribute Edition of the D10 soon for sale.

So when you buy that one, you can sell me your old one with sleeve intact? I love the old UI sorry. I would get the new one with the new UI but its missing some of the most important features I like in the original flashlight.

The new one is basically a copy on the outside, but a new flashlight in almost every other aspect. Can someone PM me and tell me how to request a WTB thread. I dont think 7777 will help me because I bought the light in Oct of 08. That makes it 4 months over a 1 year warranty. I cant find any warranty on the website for the light in the first place, but I may be missing something. Anyway 1 year is pretty standard and thats probably what 7777 goes by.

The pic in the link provided by Andrew123 is exactly what happened to mine. No need for a pic because I could cut and paste his pic plus I suck at photography:cool:.

I bought it in October of 08 from 7777.

Yours is obviously the first batch. Improvements are made to the pistons and bodies in subsequent batches. So if you like your D10, might be good to get a new one altogether. There are both ramping and SP versions available.

Dude, look at post #8.

You should give 47s and Nitecore a chance to make it right first. If they don't, I'll take care of you. Just PM the shipping address.

wow....I should have got on here more often. Zen..thank you....for real.

I emailed nitecore this week (I was surfing and came across thier website.) I told them about the tube issue and offered to buy one from them. They asked for a pic, so I sent one. They are going to send me a tube free of charge. Now THAT is standing behind your product. They never asked how old the flashlight was, but I think they can tell from the fact its a first gen run.

Then I come on here to spread the news about the excellent customer service the Nitecore company has and find out I already had an offer from this great community.

wow!!!:twothumbslovecpf

Warranty is here. However, they no longer honor it. http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?p=2174427

You must go directly through Nitecore.

I got the tube in the mail. I did something wrong and the tube did not fit. I was so disappointed. I put her in my drawer and began searching for another AA to fill the her shoes. I spent all day searching. Out of discust I went back to the drawer with the hopes I could file something down to make it fit. To my surprise it slid right in the time. Dont know....and I dont want to know. I am just very very happy. I have my D10 back. A song came to mind when this happened. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOnjglu2bpM
