My first all custom light

Hi,

Well I started with two mag lite's and found those a lot of fun to machine so I decided to try and make an all custom light. I used a ssr-50 with a Boom spot reflector. It takes an 18650 battery with the shining beam 2.8 amp driver. I have to admit that I did copy mac's style, it's hard not to when his lights look so awesome. Thanks for taking a look let me know what you think about it.

All beam shots at 1/6 sec at f3.5. This was also done during the day.

Sexy torch you got there! The reflector pattern really matches the exterior markings. Do you plan on mounting that onto your pistol?

Probably not going to mount it on my pistol, mainly used it for a size reference. I just made it to use as an EDC.

It does look a lot like the dooms day device . I really do love the look of the boom reflector and does work great, It doesn't make a great spot but it is a lot of flood with a ssr-50 at 2.8 amps.

Thanks for the compliments I got enough parts to build 4 more so I will probably make another one soon. I will post the finished product when I do.

I started and finished over last weekend. I would guess 10-16 hours. It's a lot of fun though so I lose track of time and it only feels like a few hours. It is pretty tough too. I would say the thinnest part on the light is the battery tube and its still at least 2-3mm thick.

Thanks for all the compliments I will probably be making some more soon that I may be selling. If my friends don't buy them first .

It's 6 inches long by 1 1/8 inches in diameter at the wide parts, and the battery tube is 7/8 inches in diameter.
