So I was referred here from a laptop forum when my search for a flashlight begun. It's a wonderful place, and I've searched around and think I finally found what I was looking for (click on them to view em full size)...
There she is, mounted atop my leather Cairns N6A fire helmet (not my current helmet, but will go back into use in a month). It's attached using the Streamlight helmet strap kit. Together, from Optics Planet, the package costs around $47-48 with free shipping, after a 5% off coupon. It came quick, and works well (although, the strap took a bit of fumbling around with).
