OK, guys, you saw my $300 12x36 now it's tme to show my first custom bezel. I gotta say, I'm super excited about this one. I got it right the first try! Now, I can tell that the threads are not super precise engineering quality, but they thread on very well. I think they are not as deep as they could be. The bezel was made to house a big aespheric lens. Some things I wish I would have done:
Make the threaded section a bit deeper to allow the bezel to sit in all the way
Make the lens bezel a bit longer to allow the light to stand up flat and protect the lens... This could be a blessing as I can see if the light is on the way it is, but the lens may break if dropped.
Round over the front edge of the bezel to prevent chipping and give it a nice finished look!

This one will house an SST-90.

On this light I went ahead and just press fit the threaded tail cap section onto the back part of the barrel so I would not have to thread it with the lathe. I just decreased the OD of the barrel and slipp fit the threaded end onto it.

Oh, BTW thanks to Will for answering my many e-mails and guiding me through and of course CPF!!!

Very nice work on your first threads, and very impressive to get your first threads actually work well. When I started doing threads it took me many, many tries before I had parts fit properly!

Good job
