We've all heard it asked: what if you could only keep just one? We all have different answers, of course, but for me it's the elusive McGizmo Ti 27LT Proto (believed to be one of only four in existence). Don elected not to produce this light in a production Ti run, opting instead for an aluminum version that is still widely in demand on the secondary market. I'd like to share some pics and some interesting facts about this unusual and beautiful 6AL-4V titanium jewel.
She accepts two CR123 cells:
The body walls are thicker than the aluminum production version, as there is no inner sleeve:
The other Ti lights part to give way for the Great One :
They guard the sleeping beauty :
The head is double O-ring sealed and can be used underwater, as Don has done.
Credit for the beefy crenelated Ti bezel ring goes to CPF'er yaesumofo. The head is threaded to accept either the yaesumofo bezel or the plain stock version, which I also have.
