Have been playing with this thingy for the last 4 days. At first, I wasn't impressed. Then I got impressed, then played a little more, and then was unimpressed again.
I know this brings up the lumen ratings issue, but so be it. No friggin way this thing is 285 lumens out the front! More like 170, tops. And the beam is too floody, with a good tunnel of blue, almost purplish light, with a teeny-tiny little dark spot at the center, viewable from far or near.
Love the ergonomics and the nice audible "click". Not saying it's a bad light, but it's only 30 or 40 lumens better than my Inova Xo3 135 lumen and the Inova T4 (170 lumens). It falls behind my 185 luman Cabella incan and the interchangeable 240 lumen Turbo head for the same light. I needed more throw, and this doesn't deliver on that front. It is regulated and seemingly dependable. Overall, solid light.
